Microscopy is the primary method for visualising cells or tissue at high resolution. The microscopy facility houses a comprehensive range of instruments for imaging biological processes in fixed and living cells and tissue.  These include stereo microscopes, slide scanners, compound microscopes, confocal microscopes, intravital microscopes, a scanning electron microscope and various analysis stations and software. We provide technical assistance and training on all instruments and software for staff and students at QIMR Berghofer, as well as full service on all instruments for external users who wish to use the facility.
