Margo MacGillivray BA LLB LLM FGIA

Margo MacGillivray is an accomplished corporate executive who has enjoyed a successful legal career, including as a partner of leading international law firm DLA Piper, as the Chief Legal Officer for international legal technology company For The Record and as General Counsel for award winning insurer, Budget Direct.

Most recently, she was appointed Senior Governance Advisor at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

With a passion for supporting improved health outcomes for Queenslanders, Ms MacGillivray has more than 10 years’ experience as a non-executive director on boards in the Queensland health and medical research sector including the Prince Charles Hospital Foundation and PA Research Foundation.

She also has specialist experience in establishing governance frameworks for privacy and data protection and a focus on effective governance of environmental issues.

Ms MacGillivray is a past director of the Australian Clinical Trials Alliance and Metro South Hospital & Health Service.
