From its humble beginnings in 1945, the Queensland Institute of Medical Research, now known as QIMR Berghofer, is one of Australia’s most successful medical research institutes conducting formidable, high-quality research for a better future of health.
Every day, our team of 1000 scientists, staff and students work in over 65 labs developing new diagnostics, better treatments and more effective strategies to prevent diseases that may impact your life, your loved ones and friends.
