Donors and QIMR Berghofer researchers honoured at Government House
QIMR Berghofer researchers and donors have been honoured with a special reception at Government House, hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland.
The Governor recognised and celebrated the generosity of QIMRB’s donors, fundraisers and industry partners and the researchers they support.
Her Excellency highlighted the impressive achievements of our scientists and the impact that our research has on the community and the world.
She also honoured the many donors who have supported the Institute for decades, helping transform research concepts into tangible advancements.
Thanks to Professor Murat Yücel, Professor Rajiv Khanna, Professor Steven Lane, Associate Professor Severine Navarro, Professor Vicki Whitehall, Professor Bryan Day, Professor David Whiteman and others for attending to express our gratitude to our supporters and their commitment to scientific progress.
Her Excellency has close ties with the Institute, serving as our Patron and as a former Council member.
