A specialist company engaged by QIMR Berghofer to provide fundraising support has been compromised in a cyber-security breach.

Pareto Phone has told the Institute that 23 supporters have been affected by the breach.

Their names and non-personally identifiable information were released. No other information was accessed.

The Institute has contacted all those affected by phone, letter and in person to let them know about the breach and to offer support.

The Institute never gives out payment information to external companies.

We are very sorry that this has happened and the Institute remains grateful to our community of supporters which makes our life-saving research possible.

QIMR Berghofer no longer uses Pareto Phone for any support services.
