Starting in 2021, QIMR Berghofer’s High School Education program can bring hands-on science to your classroom! If excursions are off the cards for your class, consider booking an incursion and we will come to you. During a 1.5-2 hour session, our scientist educators will engage your students in a skill-building workshop that uses patient histories and laboratory techniques to diagnose Ross River Virus. Students will learn to use micropipettes to perform an antibody assay, helping to consolidate their understanding of the human immune system and infectious diseases in a practical way.
Incursions are available on Mondays and Thursdays during school term.
